What areas can be treated?
The areas which may be treated thus far with threads are the outer brow, the cheeks, the jaw line and the neck. Many patients will not need all of these areas corrected. Common areas for younger patients are the cheeks and brows since they are the first in line to begin their descent. What to expect in your recovery time?
Patients will find their facial movement should be limited for the first two weeks. It may also be uncomfortable to laugh. No massaging or significant facial pressure should be applied in the first month after the procedure. The maximum tensile strength usually occurs at 21 days.Back To Top
Will I have an immediate result?
Initial results can be dramatic and may even improve over six months as your collagen encapsulates and “bunches” around the threads, causing even further lifting. How do the threads work?
The threads have cogs or barbs which lie in one direction and “open up” when implanted into the subcutaneous tissue and “tugged” into place. The tissue is caught slightly in these cogs and is then suspended and lifted. The threads are placed in carefully predetermined areas in the face to support and lift the tissue.Back To Top
